New NH Harvest of the Month Webinar

NH Farm to School Program Coordinator, Stacey Purslow, hosted fa webinar to introduce the new New Hampshire Harvest of the Month program materials during Farm to School Month. Stacey shared about the updates, as well as some best practices in using the materials in the classroom, in youth programming, and at home.
In partnership with farm to school partners across the state, NH Farm to School developed the NH Harvest of the Month program with the goal of promoting seasonal eating, encouraging healthy diets, and supporting the local agricultural and seafood economy.
As part of a USDA Local Food Promotions Program grant received by NH Farm to School in 2023, we have tapped in to more farm to school partners to update the original NH Harvest of the Month program materials to include new agricultural and seafood products, with a focus on products that reflect the diverse population in New Hampshire. The new calendar is still based on the seasonality of crops in our state and region and the materials includes a variety of activities, recipes, history, and more.
