Rob Larocque
Carter Hill Orchard in Concord has been owned by Rob and Annette Larocque since 2001; however, Rob has managed the farm since he graduated high school in 1972. Over the years the Larocques have expanded operations to include walking trails, a bakery, and an observation tower used for bird watching which also has a great view of Mt. Kearsarge. In 2006, Rob partnered with his friend, Rick Duane of Duane Family Farm, to start a cider mill called NH Cider Works. Maybe you’ve had some? Their pasteurized cider is made from local apples and can be purchased in several sizes including an 8oz container through Favorite Foods along with their apples. Their cider and fresh apples are sold to many NH schools. The orchard is family friendly and is a popular spot for apple picking. They grow a wide variety including cortland, empire, gala, honeycrisp, macintosh, macoun, mutsu, paula red and red delicious.
